Contest!
Alright, so I have a totally lame blog name. I want to start a contest for you to come up with a better name. Whichever name I like the best, the winner will receive the next craft that I do. I haven't come up with it yet, but it should be a good one. If not, I Can make some pod podge coasters for the winner. So please help me with a better blog name!
Flower Pot Turkey
Today I was bored! I called my sister over and told her to bring over the flowerpots she had so we could make turkeys for November. The other day I was looking for fun fall crafts on google images and found several flower pot turkeys.
Steps:
Step 1: Paint flower pot color you want your turkey to be
Step 2: Cut fall scrapbook paper into feathers
Step 4: arrange feathers the way you like and tape together so they won't fall apart
Step 5: Mod podge feathers onto piece of fabric (so that the back of feathers will be white.)
Step 6: When dry, cut out the feathers from fabric leaving a small border
Step 7: Find a square piece of fall fabric for the head and put a grocery bag into the middle and shape your turkey's head. Rubber band head.
Step 8: Arrange feathers and turkey head in your flower pot to your liking
Step 9: Hot glue feathers and head into place
Step 10: Cut the beak and red gobbler out of fabric (or scrapbook paper) and hot glue onto head
Step 11: Use buttons for eyes or googly eyes
Step 12: Find cute ribbon and hot glue around your flower pot
Now you are done with your cute fall turkey!! Easy!
Mod Podge Mail Sorter
If any of you are like me, your mail is a mess. I was at my friend's house this summer and she had 3 magazine boxes with bills/to be filed/and coupons. So I took her idea, and mod podged the outsides to make them my own. Thankyou Beth Larsen for you wonderful idea. She didn't even know that she helped. Needless to say, my mail is no longer a mess. I might do one more for all of my husband's mail..........
Steps:
Step 1: buy magazine boxes or any type of organizer you want
Step 2: cut desired scrapbook paper to fit boxes
Step 3: Mod podge
Step 4: decorate with stickers or ribbon to make it "you"
Easy!
