Contest!

Alright, so I have a totally lame blog name. I want to start a contest for you to come up with a better name. Whichever name I like the best, the winner will receive the next craft that I do. I haven't come up with it yet, but it should be a good one. If not, I Can make some pod podge coasters for the winner. So please help me with a better blog name!

Flower Pot Turkey

Today I was bored! I called my sister over and told her to bring over the flowerpots she had so we could make turkeys for November. The other day I was looking for fun fall crafts on google images and found several flower pot turkeys.
Steps:
Step 1: Paint flower pot color you want your turkey to be
Step 2: Cut fall scrapbook paper into feathers
Step 4: arrange feathers the way you like and tape together so they won't fall apart
Step 5: Mod podge feathers onto piece of fabric (so that the back of feathers will be white.)
Step 6: When dry, cut out the feathers from fabric leaving a small border
Step 7: Find a square piece of fall fabric for the head and put a grocery bag into the middle and shape your turkey's head. Rubber band head.
Step 8: Arrange feathers and turkey head in your flower pot to your liking
Step 9: Hot glue feathers and head into place
Step 10: Cut the beak and red gobbler out of fabric (or scrapbook paper) and hot glue onto head
Step 11: Use buttons for eyes or googly eyes
Step 12: Find cute ribbon and hot glue around your flower pot

Now you are done with your cute fall turkey!! Easy!

Mod Podge Mail Sorter

If any of you are like me, your mail is a mess. I was at my friend's house this summer and she had 3 magazine boxes with bills/to be filed/and coupons. So I took her idea, and mod podged the outsides to make them my own. Thankyou Beth Larsen for you wonderful idea. She didn't even know that she helped. Needless to say, my mail is no longer a mess. I might do one more for all of my husband's mail..........
Steps:
Step 1: buy magazine boxes or any type of organizer you want
Step 2: cut desired scrapbook paper to fit boxes
Step 3: Mod podge
Step 4: decorate with stickers or ribbon to make it "you"

Easy!

Believe!!

I love the word BELIEVE!! Believe in something and anything is possible. Believe in yourself, believe in God, believe in your children, believe in your spouse. Having a belief in something is a wonderful feeling. That is why I love having the word BELIEVE in my house, to remember to do so. In Mark 5:36 it says in the end "be not afraid, only believe." And in Mark 9:23 in the end it says, "all things are possible to him that believeth." I just love the word BELIEVE.

This craft is very simple!

Step 1: buy letter blocks from any craft store
Step 2: paint the blocks the color of your choice
Step 3: trace letters on scrapbook paper of you choice. (I like to alternate colors)
Step 4: Mod podge paper onto letter blocks
Step 5: Decorate according to your taste!

A Proclamation to the World

This is the same craft as the living Christ one. The only difference is the writing and the pictures.

The Living Christ frame

This one was also another one that was done on a super Saturday.
Step 1: Find a frame that has a mat
Step 2: Find a bundle of your favorite Christ pictures. (make sure they are small enough to be on the mat.
Step 3: Cut and organize Christ pictures so they frame "The Living Christ"
Step 4: Glue pictures
Step 5: Dry and Frame

Words of the Gospel

This is a craft that I did during my wards relief society's super Saturday. It was also easy. This one requires a cricket machine and the know how to use one.......(i don't). The vinyl was already pre-cut for us. So all we needed to do was put the vinyl and Christ picture on the paper and frame it!

Another easy one!
Step 1: Pick shape of plaque
Step 2: Trace plaque on felt for the bottom of the coaster
Step 3: Hot glue felt on back
Step 4: Cut out scrapbook paper
Step 5: Mod Podge

Super Easy!!

Step 2: cut paper the size of paper

Step 5: hot glue ribbon on back so you can hang it on your wall.
